The Month End Process has changed in Dentrix version G6.5+ and if you have not set it up your month end might not be running. The month end process completes seven extremely important tasks:
1 - locks up your ledger into history
2 - ages your account balances
3 - moves the ending accounts receivable balance into the beginning balance of the new month
4 - resets insurance benefits used back to zero in the renewal month
5 - locks clinical notes into history
6 - moves perio chart exams into history
7 - recalculates totals
